Schryver Gun Sales Scope Leveling System
|
For the scope levers to work you must have a high quality scope with a
large flat area opposite your elevation turret, similar to the one shown
on this Nightforce scope.
You also must have a picatinny rail on your gun or a one piece scope
mount.
If you use a two piece base you will have nothing to square the bottom
of the scope against and the levers will not work.
Step 1
Determine proper placement for scope and rings and torque rings on
picatinny rail

Step 2
Lightly tighten screws on the scope mounts, leaving it loose enough that
the scope can be turned in mounts.
Note: Keep the space between the top and bottom of mounts even while
tightening screws.

Step 3
Find the appropriate sized angle sets and place it on the picatinny rail
directly under the turret area on the scope.
In this picture you can see the scope is not parallel to the picatinny
rail and must be rotated.

Step 4
Adjust the angles until the picatinny rail and bottom of the scope are
parallel.

Step 5
Begin tightening the screws on the scope mount while the slide is still
under the scope.
*Tighten lightly and evenly - The angles will begin
getting squeezed between the scope and rail.
*Readjusting the slide
may be needed a few times while tightening the screws.

Below illustrates removing and repositioning the slide.

Step 6
Once the scope is secure in the mounts torque the screw to proper inch
lbs.

If your scope mounts are shorter and one of the slides do not fit
between the scope or rail, use the feeler gauges provided in the kit.
Use the amount of feeler gauges that fit firmly under the scope and
follow from Step 4.
The first image shows the smallest slide with
very little adjustment available and the use of feeler gauge necessary.
The second image shows the feeler gauge in use.
